How The EP Was Created and By Whom

The team

The team

We have been very lucky to have had some wonderful talented and generous musicians, engineers, producers and web designer helping with this EP project. Below is a little bit about them, and a breakdown of all the songs on the EP.

Far Better was originally a poem, written by Joyce Merrigan. The poem was found among her effects after she sadly passed away. The subsequent song created from her poem is dedicated to her and all she did throughout her life to help others. It was recorded at Relaxx Studios http://www.relaxx.co.uk/relaxx-records/. Steve Jones, Red Robin and James Randall took a simple song on guitar and produced the recording. They are highly accomplished musicians and have been extremely generous with their time and support in creating this song. although we do not have any pictures, we had a wonderful time together.

Out from the Shadows, Thinking of You and What a Wonderful World were recorded together at Slipway recording studio in November 2018 http://www.slipwaystudio.com/

Getting to work with Ciyo Brown was amazing. He is a wonderful musician and producer and I am truly grateful to him https://www.facebook.com/ciyoguitarbrown/. Courtney, Mike and Simone were wonderful and their dedication and hard work payed off. We had so much fun, as you can see.

Ciyo, Courtney, Mike and I firsts got together to do a live performance of some of the tracks on the EP at The Piano Works in Farringdon.

We had such a great time that I asked them if they would help record part of the Just a Drop EP. Luckily they said yes!

Simon Lomax www.simonlomax.com kindly mixed and mastered What a Wonderful World. Thank you, Simon.

He’s Saying Words and Breeze were recorded with my dear, and highly talented friend Jon Brammer. I had gone for a visit and we recorded the two songs on the same day. Jon is one of my favourite musicians and composers, it is such a joy to work with him.

Mwambui Primary School Kenya

Mwambui Primary School Children

So excited to announce that we have been given the name of the school that will benefit from your purchase of the Just a Drop EP and any additional contributions you make. It is Mwambui Primary School, Kenya. Just a Drop provided this document describing the school. There are 346 children who attend the school, which has no regular supply of clean water and this is, as you can imagine, causing serious problems.
